Doctor
Donald R Ragland , D.V.M. Dr. Ragland is a native of Overton County, Tennessee. He received his undergraduate degree from Tennessee Technological University and attended The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated as Valedictorian of the class of 1981 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After practicing with a local clinic for a few years he decided to open Ragland Veterinary Clinic in 1987. As his practice grew he and his long time friend Dr. Thomas Riley decided to practice together in 1992. Ragland and Riley Veterinary Hospital became incorporated in 1994. Dr. Ragland is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, The American Association for Bovine Practitioners, The Society for Theriogenology, and the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association. He is also the recipient of the 2004 University of Tennessee Distinguished Alumni Award for Private Practice. Dr. Ragland and his lovely wife Jackie are the proud parents of three wonderful boys.
Thomas D Riley , D.V.M.
Dr. Riley is a native of Pickett County, Tennessee. He served in the Armed Forces with service in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge he returned to Tennessee Technological University to complete his undergraduate degree. He then attended the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. After graduation he practiced in Livingston until starting his own practice in Albany, Kentucky. He owned Clinton County Animal Clinic for several years before joining Dr. Ragland in 1992 and forming Ragland and Riley Veterinary Hospital. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association for Equine Practitioners. Dr. Riley and his lovely wife Leda are the proud parents of two wonderful daughters and two beautiful granddaughters.
John W Parker , D.V.M.
Dr. Parker grew up on a farm in Nashville raising horses and cattle. He attended the University of North Carolina and received his Bachelor of Science in Geology. While in school in North Carolina he decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and after completing his degree at UNC in 1979, he enrolled at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Dr. Parker graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1985. He has practiced in Nashville, North Carolina and Montana and has been with Ragland and Riley Veterinary Hospital since February of 2002. Dr. Parker is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. He and his wife Kelli are the proud parents of 3 dogs and 3 horses.

Richard H Wearing , D.V.M.
A native of Georgia, Dr. Wearing attended the College of Charleston where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology with a concentration in Medicine. He attended The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Dr. Wearing joined Ragland and Riley Veterinary Hospital in 1996 and became a partner in 2004. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. He and his lovely wife Lisa are the proud parents to two wonderful boys and two lovely girls.
